Well this laundry area needing something to perk it up. I decided to do a quick makeover on it just so doing laundry would be a little more pleasant.
I'm just a southern girl livin' a Charmed Life with my husband in Tennessee. I love all things romantic and I think that glitter can make anything beautiful. This is my journey, hope you can come along...

The Bathroom Project
I've struggled trying to figure out what to do with the hall bathroom ever since we moved into our home last June. FINALLY I came across a bathroom in the June/July addition of Lonny Mag. It's on page 136-139. It's chic and sophisticated and I am sooo excited about my own transformation. I started painting this week and hope to get it completed this weekend. I will be posting after pics. Here are some before pics of the bathroom to get you started.

So, I'm still working on getting pictures up and finishing touches. I ordered a great rug from Urban Outfitters and it won't be in until sometime next month. More pics to come.
This is the picture frame I painted and distressed. I covered the matte with fabric. I've made 5 of these to hang up in the bathroom. They are all filled with pictures of me and my hubby. This is just a picture I put in there for an example.

"Summer Blues"
Even though summer has officially just begun, I find myself longing for fall to arrive. I absolutely LOVE fall. I LOVE everything about it. I am already starting to think about the special things I want to do when fall arrives. There's something so peaceful and quiet about the fall and life seems to slow down and I dream of rainy days and listening to Diana Krall's music and falling in love. Here are a few things that I am looking forward to this fall.
1. Having a picnic with my hubby in our backyard underneath our huge maple trees on a big tartan blanket on a chilly day.
2. Raking up a HUGE pile of leaves and jumping into it and taking lots of pics!
3. Wearing my NEW Ralph Lauren flannel shirt.
4. Picking pumpkins from my pumpkin garden and sharing them with friends.
5. Sippin' on some delicious hot apple cider.
6. Lighting my Hot Maple Toddy candle from The Candleberry Co.(my fav.).
7. Building a huge fire in the back yard and gathering with friends to enjoy it.
8. Opening all the windows in the house to feel the cool crisp autumn air.
9. Celebrating 2 yrs of marriage with my soulmate.
10. Going to some sort of fall festival.
Tell me your favorite fall things to do. I can't wait to hear!

I've finally posted pictures of the MAN CAVE in the post below. I was hoping to blog about the transformation day by day but the computer was taken apart and moved downstairs and i couldn't get a wireless signal on my laptop, so I wasn't able to tell y'all about all the fun my Mama and I had creating this special surprise for my MAN! It was worth all the blood, sweat, and tears(tears from the laughter of mom and I putting that new computer desk together and using a hammer to bust up the old one)when my honey came home and was speechless about what I had created for him. We even rented a movie and had our favorite pizza delivered that night and hung out in the "MAN CAVE." I can't believe I was allowed to enter in. So many people helped make this a success. My brother was able to hook me up with the internet and cable in the downstairs and he also helped me move most of the furniture downstairs. My dear friend Shana hooked me up with a FREE recliner, which my man is really enjoying. He's wanted a recliner for sooooo long. My sweet mama came down and stayed with me the entire weekend and helped me clean, organize, and assemble the entire space. I still laugh when I think of her saying "Oh, the night is YOUNG!" "We can stay up as long as we need to." She's such a trooper and such a go getter! Love that woman and my hubby LOVES his room!

"SECRET SURPRISE"
I can't believe its been so long since my last post! I moved my hair business home a couple of months ago and it has just seemed to take off! I've been working much later in the evenings and just haven't had a lot of down time lately. I am getting ready for a very BIG surprise and I just have to let y'all in on what's going on. My hubby who teaches 5th grade has been invited to go to D.C. for 4 days next month for the annual Safety Patrol Trip. While he's away for 4 whole days I am surprising him with a "MAN CAVE." My mom's coming down to help me get it put together and I am so excited! It has been so hard keeping this from him. I've been bidding on his favorite sports paraphernalia and organizing lists of what all he already has and what still needs to be purchased. A dear client and friend of mine is giving me a recliner for the space because lets face it if this space doesn't have a manly RECLINER then it just won't be complete!Ha! My brother is even coming down to help move furniture in and to set up the t.v. and PS3 so that when he gets home its all ready for him to enjoy. I've never done anything this BIG for him and I am so excited about it. I just know how surprised he's going to be and how much he will enjoy this space. I will definitely be posting pics of the progress and blogging about it each day of the transformation.

I wanted to post some of my favorite design pics that I've found on the internet. These are very inspiring to me.
I love the stripes on the wall in this room.
I love the chair in this room.
I love CHALKBOARD paint and this wall is amazing! This really gives me an idea for my wedding wall in my hallway.Hmmm...
I LOVE Melamine plates and Monograms! This is the best of both worlds.
I think a picture like this would look great in a child's room. Its very notalgic.
I'm a hairstylist and I just love this old dryer chair. Very Chic!
LOVE the detail in these kitchen cabinets.
I don't know what it is about these antlers but I totally want to find a spot for a pair in my house. They are sooo Ralph Lauren and I just love how chic they are.
I love old books and these are so pretty in pink.
I love everything about this room.
I just love this old chair. It has so much character and charm.

Red or Green?
I'm trying to decide what color I am going to paint my t.v.armoire. I am using red and green in my living room as pops of colors. I will distress the piece either way but just don't know. I'm leaning towards red, but just want some opinions. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. Here is a pic of the armoire. I want to change the knobs on it as well to glass knobs.
The shelves aren't attached and are in a different spot in the room now. The Armoire also has doors that close and are now attached to it. The room is also painted a different color now, here's a pic of the room in progress Here .

"A Charmed Life" PETITE HAIR BOUTIQUE
I am so happy about my new venture! It has been a dream of mine for the last five years to one day have my own hair salon. This past month that dream came true when I opened up "A Charmed Life" Petite Hair Boutique. "A Charmed Life" petite hair boutique is a quaint little shop nestled in the lower level of my home. I wanted to create a cozy atmosphere where you can feel totally relaxed, enjoy great music, delicious treats, all while having the best salon services. Here are a few photos of the finished shop!
